Beijing, China, July 26, 2022 – Kadant Fiberline (China) Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Kadant Inc. (NYSE: KAI), has broken ground on the construction of its new facility in China’s Shandong province.

The new manufacturing facility will include engineering, commercial, and administration offices. The greenfield facility will feature an environmentally friendly design that supports Kadant’s internal sustainability goals and automation initiatives. The project is one of a handful of Shandong Province’s key manufacturing and construction projects in recent years.

Once commissioned, the facility will have capacity to manufacture more than 2,000 stock preparation systems per year. The project is expected to be completed in 2023.
