Last week tissue makers and converters from around the world visited Tissue World Americas in Miami, Florida. Tissue World Americas reported the event brought in a record-breaking number of participants. The exhibition and conference offered a variety of opportunities for learning. The speakers covered the complete value chain, from raw materials to consumers, including technology, markets, environment, consumer trends, and innovations.

During the exhibition, Kadant saw a high interest level in the new RotoFlex™ resource recovery strainer. Another big hit at the booth was the Yankee dryer cleaner. The Yankee dryer cleaner is designed to easily insert into the existing Yankee doctor holder. The device is manufactured from lightweight aluminum and features a patented cleaning shoe with two cleaning pads. The shoe is attached to a pivot blade that inserts into the Yankee doctor holder and takes the shape of the holder profile to ensure even application to the Yankee surface. In addition to exhibiting at the trade show, Scott Romenesko, product line manager, presented the paper Auditing Paper Machine Water Systems.
