V-1000™ Vacuum Control Valves

Features and Benefits

  • Automatically maintains set vacuum level
  • "Set-and-forget" operational simplicity
  • Provides faster, more accurate response to fluctuations in stock and vacuum supply than is possible with manual controls
  • Maintains high precision setpoints (+/- 0.1" Hg) for more consistent drainage and formation
  • Low and high-vacuum capability - allows use of graduated vacuum and high-vacuum, high-efficiency dewatering technologies
  • Standard pneumatic or optional electronic controls - easily integrated into existing vacuum controls - and mill-wide DCS systems
  • Simplicity - a single, compact valve provides the same level of vacuum control as a multiple butterfly valve system
  • Heavy-duty construction developed specifically for paper mill environments to minimize plugging and maintenance
  • Valve is remotely controlled
  • Compatible with standard vacuum headers and can be easily retrofitted onto existing vacuum supply systems

How the V-1000 control valve works

The V-1000 control valve is set by a pneumatic pilot which positions the two pistons to expose the correct slot height to produce proper vacuum. When box vacuum levels drop, the pistons automatically move upward, uncovering more vacuum slot area to increase vacuum supply. During vacuum surges, the pistons move downward, covering vacuum slots and exposing air slots to reduce box vacuum levels.
