Paper Drying Seminar - May 15-16, 2008

A Heritage of Paper Drying

Since 1975, Kadant Johnson has been organizing and presenting paper drying seminars for papermakers around the world. More than 3,500 mill personnel, consultants, and suppliers have attended the Kadant Johnson Paper Drying Seminar to better understand drying and process improvements.

Since the early years of the seminar, the topics focused on steam and condensate systems, syphon characteristics and performance, maintenance issues in the dryer section, and new technologies created at the Kadant Johnson R&D Center.

Today, with two full-size pilot dryers, seminar attendees are able to look inside the dryer to view real-time condensate behavior. This view inside a rotating cylinder has provided a new level of insight into papermaking that allows mills to improve dryer section performance and machine runnability.

Who Should Attend?

The Kadant Johnson Paper Drying Seminar is designed for both the seasoned papermaker as well as new mill personnel looking to better understand the dryer section.

The seminar schedule allows for technical, production and maintenance personnel to take advantage of Kadant Johnson's paper drying knowledge. Titles of past attendees include mill manager, production manager, superintendent, maintenance manager, engineering manager, technical director, machine planner, maintenance team leader, process engineer and others.
