Split Doctor Bearing

A split doctor bearing incorporates a split housing and a split journal block assembly.

This design allows removal of the top section of the housing and journal block without disturbing the position of the bottom section of the housing. Thus, it is possible to replace worn or damaged cam followers on machine without realignment of the doctor.
