In 1933, Kadant Johnson Inc. invented the rotary pressure joint. The company quickly established a solid reputation for the design and manufacture of rotary joints and syphons to meet the needs of a wide range of industrial applications. We have grown over the years and are now known throughout the world for our ability to integrate these products with systems, service and technology, to create intelligent solutions to meet our customers' needs.

PRODUCTS. Today, we continue to specialize in the design and manufacture of rotary joints and syphons and in the integration of these products with systems and services. Rotary joints, sometimes referred to as unions, are mechanical seals used on rotating cylinders to convey steam, water, air and heat transfer oils. In addition to rotary joints, Kadant Johnson also supplies auxiliary products, such as vacuum breakers, flexible metal hoses, sight flow indicators, steam and air separators, and fluid handling systems. Most importantly, Kadant Johnson is positioned to provide the technical support for the mechanical and process control projects.

INDUSTRIES. Kadant Johnson rotary joints and syphon systems are preferred throughout the papermaking and paper converting industries. Our products are also used in rubber, tire, plastics, textile, and chemical industries, as well as for continuous metal casters, printing presses, corrugating machines, and general industry.
